It is official!!

So officially my "baby" turned two! All I have to say is that time is a funny thing I feel like it was just a little while ago that I gave birth... weird. Well Katie is beautiful and basically my entire life. I am so thankful to have her sweet spirit in my life! The past two years have been filled with some of the greatest joys I have ever had in my life. We gave her a little birthday celebration on the 16th which is her actual birthday and then we are going to BOUNCE U for her party in about a week. Pictures and videos of her little celebration are coming soon. Along with pictures of her at the water park we went to on her birthday to play! LIfe has been busy and going......ok. Not much news to report but I will get some pictures posted soon!

Bye Bye Baby... Hello Toddler

Well these are the last pictures of Katie in her crib...

Katie was able to climb in and out of her crib so about a month ago we decided it was time to move her into a "big girl bed". It was tough on me to think that my baby was too big to be in her crib but no matter what I do I can't seem to make her stop growing! If anyone out there knows how to do that then please let me know! The good thing is that Katie loves her new bed and she stays in it when we put her to bed (thanks supper nanny)! So here are some pictures of Katie enjoying as she puts it, "Katie's toddler bed!"

Still "sleeping"

"Daddy can fix it"

Stephen and I were walking around a baby store and we saw the cutest little table and chair set that I immediately wanted for Katie. Stephen took a look at the price tag and then decided that he could easily make the table for less. I have to admit I was skeptical seeing that I have never actually seen Stephen make anything let alone something like a table but I was supportive! Well after a few weekends Stephen did it! He made an excellent Table for Katie and she LOVES it! I am way impressed by Stephen's skills that table looks great better than the one in the store (at least to me and Katie). Ever since this now whenever anything is broken Katie refuses to allow me to fix it instead she takes it to daddy saying, "Daddy can fix it!"

Catching Up...Happy Birthday Stephen/Daddy we love you!!

Well Stephens Birthday was over a month ago but again I am still catching up. Stephen got lots of new clothes for his birthday and some home depot gift cards (that will come in handy if we ever actually get a home!) and some movies. All in all I think he had a good 26th birthday...Can you believe how old he is? Wow time flies!

Where did April go?

Okay so April seemed to have flown by...In my defense I have been gone for a good part of it! But regardless of the reasons I am going to repent and play catch up. So this is one of the things I was going to post Katie finally has some hair! The funny thing is that even though she still doesn't have much hair she still wakes up from almost every nap and every night looking like this....

I think it is pretty hilarious! But with the bad also comes the good I can finally (somewhat) do pig-tails on katie. Now you may be thinking, "Wow Becky that is not a big deal at all!" but let me assure you, for me it is. From the moment I knew Katie was a girl I wanted to do her hair in the cutest little kid styles with the bows and so forth. I have had to learn patience and wait for almost two years! Even now it is a stretch to call these pig-tails but I am still excited. So although this is a lame post here it is... my cute little bald girl!

Quick Update

1. Stephen and I put bids in on two homes! We liked them both and since homes are disappearing quickly our realtor told us that we should bid on both and see which one pans out. So keep your fingers crossed for us.
2. I am registered for my very first half marathon....It is at the end of June. I don't know why I am subjecting myself to this but it has always been a goal of mine. Let the intensive training begin!

Thanks Aunt Emily and Aunt Lynnae

A long time ago Emily and I think Lynnae made all of the Smith grand daughters bracelets and necklaces with pieces from their great grandmothers own necklaces. I have thought that was so special but was always nervous about letting Katie wear them because of the risk of her breaking them as well as her getting hurt by them. However on Sunday when Katie saw that I had a necklace on she wanted to wear one too so I pulled them out (thinking that she is old enough now to handle it) and she LOVED them! In fact she doesn't want to take them off. So thank you so much for the special and beautiful jewlery! I thought I would show you a picture with Katie wearing them. Thanks again! Also below are a few pictures of Katie on St. Patty's day wearing her anti-pinch shirt!

I left my heart in San Francisco!

Katie enjoying some ice cream on our way home from our trip.

We took a boat ride and went underneath the infamous San Francisco bridge. If you can't tell we were freezing... brrrr!

We stopped at casa de fruita on our way to San Francisco and Katie got to ride on the train and a huge two story merry-go-round! We also went to the winchester mystery house on our way back. We had a very fun weekend!

Big Girl!

Ever since Katie was born I have told her that she is my baby and recently we have this "game" where I ask her, "Are you mommy's baby?" to which she always replies, "YES!" Well a couple days ago I asked Katie, "Are you mommy's baby?" and she said, "No I BIG GIRL!" I guess it is time for me to realize just how big she is... but no matter what, she will ALWAYS be my baby (even if I have to tell her otherwise!)

mommy-hood!

Katie finger painting...

My katie is just great! I don't know why I felt the need to publicly state this but I thought I would. I know that almost everyone says that being a mom is great but I just wanted to add my sentiments on the matter. I love being a mommy and I wouldn't trade it for anything. Katie amazes me daily. At a year and a half she already has a great vocabulary, can sing her ABC's, Count to 10, knows her colors and many shapes! She is even more importantly sweet, loving, and caring. I am so very blessed to be her mom! Okay that was a lot of gushing sorry....I just couldn't help it.

Outside playing, jumping and singing in the rain...
